epStudents Ministry

EaglePoint loves our students. We want to lead our students with a specific end in mind…to graduate students who are solid in their faith, can confidently share their faith, and are seeking to serve the Lord by serving others. We do this through our Wednesday Night studies, our LifeGroups, and our Camps and Retreats. Make a plan to come check things out for yourself. We’d love to see you at EaglePoint!

LifeGroups…

We believe that when students are encouraged to think through their faith that they will begin to see growth. We use LifeGroups to give the students a safe place to discuss, study further, and even question the things they don’t understand. We have solid LifeGroup Leaders that want to see our students become confident in their understanding and competent in their application of God’s Word.

Our epStudent LifeGroups meet every Wednesday night as part of our Wednesday programming for teenagers. Wednesday nights begin at 6:00 with food and hangout time and then games or music at 6:20. At about 6:40, Pastor Scott begins our teaching time. We try to break into the LifeGroups to discuss the evening’s study by about 7:10. It is our goal to wrap up around 7:45. This is a valuable time in our students’ lives.

Wednesday Nights…

On Wednesday Nights Pastor Scott teaches through the seven checkpoints each year. We have narrowed down what we want our students to grow to understand about their faith to seven main points. We teach series that touch on those throughout the year. We want to lead our students with a specific end in mind…graduate students who are solid in their faith, can confidently share their faith, and are seeking to serve the Lord by serving others.

Camps and Retreats…

Our epStudent Ministry takes a minimum of three trips each year. Our first camp of the year is in January and we focus on personal growth in spiritual disciplines. Our second retreat opportunity is Summer Camp. We generally take this trip in June and focus on fun and being challenged in our walk. The third trip is a mission based camp called Camp Happy Days. We take our Sr. High students to be counselors for elementary aged children that are under the watchcare of AL DHR. Pastor Scott came to know Christ through a camp and understands the value of being away from our routines to connect with Christ.
