serve others.

serve others…through Ministry and Missions

There are many ways to be plugged in at EaglePoint. We have opportunities to serve in our Nursery, Children’s Ministry (epKids), Student Ministry (epStudents), LifeGroups, Greeting Team, Welcome Desk Team, Cafe Crew, Security Team, Worship Team, Media Team, Counseling Team, Baptism Team, Hospitality Team, and Mission Teams.

At EaglePoint, all Nursery, Children’s, and Student workers have been background checked. We strive to provide an experience that is fun, exciting, Bible based, and safe. There is a check-in and out process and our Security Team is constantly monitoring the premises. If you feel called and are gifted to work with children, please connect with Crissy Werner to set up an interview.

epStudents meets each Sunday night at 6pm for our ONE Gathering. This is our main student worship time. We meet with students from our other campus (FBC Jacksonville, 7th Street Campus) and the guests they invite! This is a great opportunity for students to come together, worship through song, and spend time together in the Word.

We also meet each Wednesday night from 6:00 - 7:30. We love our students and want them to grow in their walk with Christ. Each week we use our LifeGroups to instill an understanding of who God is and who they are in Christ! We have several retreat opportunities each year and are active on the campuses of our students. Our LifeGroup Leaders are in contact with our students each week to encourage them, pray for them, and keep them aware of upcoming events or needs. If you feel called and gifted to work with students (6th - 12th grade), please connect with Scott Prater to set up an interview.

We believe the best growth process for our EP Family is built around our LifeGroup ministry. We have many choices for when or what type of LifeGroup to attend. From Men’s or Women’s groups to Couples or LifeStage type groups, there is something for everyone! We are committed to growth through our Life Groups. Pastor Todd prays diligently about how to lead our church to love God, grow together, and serve others. His sermon topics are timely, informational, and also helps us to apply the truths of God’s Word in our everyday lives.
We have developed studies that stay on track with his messages each week. In doing this,
we believe our people can focus on one main “take-home” to apply throughout the week
and it can be reinforced together in LifeGroups!

To find your place in a LifeGroup, please connect with Pastor Todd Borders.

EaglePoint loves our people and our guests! We want to put friendly and smiling faces to welcome and help people enjoy their time worshiping at EaglePoint.

The following teams (Greeting, Welcome Desk, Cafe, Encouragers, Ushers) don’t require its members to be out of the weekly worship time so those who serve are on a monthly rotation.

Our Greeting Team is the first point of contact for those attending. They smile, welcome people, and make sure our guests make their way to our Welcome Desk.

Our Welcome Desk Team is smiling and ready to give our guests a gift, get basic information to stay in contact, and take our guests to drop off their children in the Children’s Area, get some coffee and snacks in the Cafe, or to find their seat in the Worship Center.

The EaglePoint Cafe Team does an incredible job of preparing the coffee, having cold bottled water ready, and serving up some snacks for those who come through. The Cafe is open from 9am on Sunday until 9:30am, right before worship.

Another great place to serve is our Encouragers Team. This team prays for and with those who respond to the message, counsel with those who want further discussion, and connect people they minister to with the Pastor.

We have a second group the helps welcome people at EaglePoint, our Ushering Team. This group of people serve in several ways: handing out Worship Guides, helping people find a seat, and collecting the offering. This group is a very visible and helpful place to serve.

The following teams (Security, Nursery, Children) do require its members to serve during the worship time so those who serve are on a weekly rotation.

Our Security Team arrives early and stays late to make sure our entire campus is safe and protected. They walk the grounds, stay in constant contact, have developed emergency safety and weather safety plans. This team is committed to doing their best to be unseen, focused, and seemingly unneeded.

Our Nursery Team is made up of volunteers that are background checked, understanding of the needs of babies, and willing to teach these little ones that God loves them. This is a special ministry that makes a huge difference for both babies and their parents!

See above to get some info about our epKids Children’s Ministry and epStudents Ministry.

The following teams (Baptism, Hospitality) function as they are needed.

We have a Baptism Team that helps with the preparations for baptism. From prepping the water to having towels ready, this team makes baptism a great experience.

Our Hospitality Team works to help us with special events. They may make food plans, decorate the building, or do other things that add to the appearance and completion of events in the life of the church.
